COMMUNICATIONS Over the past 12 months, Vicsport has broadened its scope and online presence by directly engaging with members and stakeholders across multiple media platforms. The updated and refreshed Vicsport website enabled a direct pathway of communication to Vicsport members about upcoming forums and events, programs and up-to-date industry news and legislation. SPORTSVIEW (E-NEWSLETTER) Sportsview is Vicsport’s newsletter and is the first port of call when it comes to sports industry news and the promotion of Vicsport events, programs and workshops. Distributed to over 3,000 subscribers, Sportsview provides an opportunity for all Victorian sport administrators (paid and volunteer) to learn about current trends, links to relevant resources and information on legislation, funding and grants. SOCIAL MEDIA Vicsport has redefined its approach and methodology when using social media platforms with a targeted audience in mind, which has resulted in a greater engagement and a wider reach across the platforms. Social media has been used to highlight and promote Vicsport events, programs, and initiatives and the achievements and stories of Vicsport members. VICSPORT POSTCARD To provide a quick and succinct summary of why Vicsport exists and for whom a bespoke postcard was designed to give to anyone anytime to tell the short story about Vicsport. The postcard enables the reader to understand the breadth and scope of Vicsport’s role in a simple form and helps to promote an understanding of the size and importance of the sports industry in the state.
